Dr. Gary Gottlieb will present on “Building sustainable models of mental health care delivery in the context of extreme poverty”, followed by Dr. Greg Fricchione on "The Role of the MGH Pierce Global Psychiatry Division" and Dr. Lauren Ng on "PTSD Interventions for People with Severe Mental Illness in Ethiopian Primary Care."
Dr. Gary L. Gottlieb is the CEO of Partners In Health. He is also a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and a member of the National Academy of Medicine. From 2010 until February of 2015, he served as president and CEO of Partners HealthCare System. He served as president of Brigham and Women’s Hospital from 2002- 2010 after serving as president of North Shore Medical Center and as Chairman of Partners Psychiatry.
Dr. Gregory Fricchione currently serves as the Director of the Chester M. Pierce, MD Division of Global Psychiatry, Director of the Division of Psychiatry and Medicine at MGH, and Director of the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine. He is also a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Chief of the Department of Psychiatry at MGH.
Dr. Lauren C. Ng is a psychologist whose work focuses on the psychological impact of war, conflict, and daily hardships on children and families, risk and resilience factors in child and adolescent global mental health, and the development and assessment of culturally-appropriate evidence-based interventions for trauma and its correlates.
